Virginia Save Our Streams (VA SOS) is a part of the larger non-profit Izaak Walton League. Their original site was based on a Joomla framework that current employees weren’t sure how to edit (and that hadn’t had a security update since 2010). The original site was not mobile-friendly, and had quite a few broken links.

I suggested using WordPress as a more user-friendly content management system.
Final Build:
- WordPress CMS
- Responsive design
- Community Events Calendar
- Custom Theme CSS (modified Primo Pro)
- Yoast SEO to increase discoverability
- W3 Total Cache to increase page speed
- Front page Slider and content boxes that resize for mobile
- Content and photo editing
- Google Webmaster & Analytics
- Documentation and training
[Keep in mind that once my work is done, web sites may be altered significantly as the needs of the organization changes, and as web technology improves.]
